Glass Septum Vials

Our superior range of Type I Class A, glass septum vials are perhaps the best container for storing liquid cultures and spore solutions.

Unlike plastic, spores do not stick as readily to glass vials, meaning they are easier to distribute prior to injection whilst also increasing the shelf-life.

Made from premium lab grade Borosilicate glass (Pyrex) with an autoclavable polypropylene lid and PTFE/Silicone injection port. Larger and more stable on the base than 12ml test tube sizes, also allows for a larger injection port allowing for more repeated use before a replacement is needed.

If making spore solutions, always leave a small amount of sterile air in the vials to allow easy agitation of spores whilst shaking.

Vial septum/injection port should be sanitised with alcohol and allowed to dry prior to injection.
